| | curious | ] | I recently realized that I've read most of the books currently sitting on the shelves in my dorm room. This is, of course, a problem.
So, if any of you have any reading recommendations, I would greatly appreciate them. I'm especially interested in getting my hands on some good short stories, as that is what I've been writing as of late. |

October 27th ~ The Strange Saga of Hiroshi the Freeloading Sex Machine (Himo no Hiroshi/Sex Machine - Hiwai na Kisetsu), Yuji Tajiri (director) Insects, money and carnality collide in this tale of a slacker who passes time mooching off of his girlfriend and participating in the latest vogue: cricket fighting. When his sweetie’s ex-husband challenges his honor by proposing a battle between their crickets, Hiroshi dives into the showdown with an animalistic fervor. Note: This film contains strong sexual content.

| | Souad Massi-Ech Edani | ] | A mere five minutes ago, I accidentally clicked on link in my computer's queue that lead me to a hentai website (presumably, a website that my brother frequents). I probably should have been disturbed or something, but Sailor Moon's breasts were so comically large that all I could do was laugh.
And, uh, in other news: Oh dear god, I need the school year to start. |

| | Juana Molina-La Verdad | ] | I had a weird dream last night wherein, for whatever reason, I was leaving for some mountain locale in central China. I was all alone in a sunny airport and crying because I didn't know Mandarin and I didn't know what I was going to be doing there.
(This dream was considerably more melodramatic than the dream I had two nights ago, in which my dream-self logged onto a massive computer and rated the taste of various brands of apricot juice). |

| | certainly not a free MP3 from the Navy. | ] | So here's a taste of this odd e-mail I received from the Navy today: "What gets your adrenaline pumping? New challenges. New thrills. New music. Whatever you're into, you'll find it in the Navy. Cool jobs. World travel. College classes. Plus over for school. An ideal mix of rush and responsibility. A chance to do things most people only imagine. And five free music downloads. Just to set the tone."
Uhh...should I be worried when my country's military services are resorting to peddling MP3s for recruits? |

| | Django Reinhardt-Ma Reguliere | ] | So...uh...between weekly trips to the music library and mp3 CDs that Shaun has burned me, the amount of music on my computer has jumped from 18 GB (at the beginning of the summer) to 26 GB.
(It doesn't help that I'm addicted to surfing around last.fm in an effort to further boost my musical bounty).
So, basically, what I'm getting at is this: I think now's a good time to invest in an external hard-drive. I've heard that you can easily build one for around $50, as opposed to paying $150 or so at a computer store. Can any of you verify this? I/my computer/my music collection will forever be indebted to you if you can tell me how one goes about making their own external hard-drive. |

The act of grilling and greasing up sandwiches is a bit of a drag. Working with a mischievous 75-year old Indian man, however, is not.

| | Clare Fader-Drunk On Skin | ] | 1. My mum called me up a few minutes ago to tell me that my old bridesmaid dress is now in the hands of my good friend Jaik. Apparently, he needed a gown for a party he's attending on the twelfth, so my mum leant it to him after bumping into him at the mall. I bet the burgundy of the dress will look stunning with his golden hair.
2. Speaking of Jaik, I really wish I could've gotten together with him over break. I miss talking about lipstick and sexual misadventures over stale cups of coffee at Discussions. |
